Iris Pavey Gilmore was an author of more than a dozen books, many of which were non-fictional books for juveniles. She also wrote several books related to Colorado topics and history. She co-authored most of her works with Marian Talmadge. Iris Gilmore was born in Illinois in 1900 and received a B.A. in education and drama in 1921 and an M.A. in 1944 from the University of Denver.
